With the promulgation of the Law Number 5 of 1960 on the Basic Rules of the Agrarian Issues, the Government of Indonesia has laid down the foundation of or Sustainable Indonesia, long before the United Nations declared the noble statement on Sustainable Development. Especially for the region of Puncak, that belongs to Cianjur regency, the concern for its Sustainable Carrying Capacity has been legally stipulated since 1963, and lastly through the Regency Regulation (Perda) of Cianjur regency Number 3 of 1988 and through the President's Decision Number 114 of 1999. in practice, such regulations were not strictly observed, so that various stypes of land degradation has been occurred at the said region.rnrnKeywords: Land Use, Carrying Capacity, Violation of Land Allotment.
