Dewan Perwakilan Daerah Republik Indonesia Dalam Sistem Ketatanegaraan Indonesia Berdasarkan UUD 1945 (Suatu Pendekatan Dari Konsep Checks And Balances System) (Begawan Abioso)
Post the Constitution 45's amandment in 2001, the Republic of Indonesia established a new representative body, the DPD (Dewan Perwakilan Daerah) (Regional Representative Body), that is expected to carry out chacks and balances activities in the political managements of the Republic of Indonesia. This article highlights the basic characteristic of the Indonesian DPD system within the framework of bicameralism. It discusses the structure and function of the body, its responsibilities and weaknesses.
