Class action, as it understood and practiced to day in the Republic of Indonesia, has experienced a long live since its inception in the 17th century as group litigation. It has other terms such as representative litigation, representative action and actio popularis. there were 5 (five) Laws of the Republic Indonesia that contained provisions about class action. Beside That The Supreme Court Regulation Number 1 of 2002 contained the provision on the legal procedure of class action. In fact, however, class actions in Indonesia have not been effective and effective and efficient yet, which means the social justice is still a lip service.rnrnKeywords: Class action, legal provision, error in procedure.
